Defendant was convicted by a jury of the following crimes: count I, attempted murder (Pen. Code, §Â§ 664/187); count II, forcible rape (§ 261, subd. 2); count III, forcible lewd and lascivious act upon a child under 14 (§ 288, subd. (b)); count IV, forcible oral copulation (§ 288a, subd. (c)); and count V, kidnaping (§ 207). The jury found as to count I defendant had personally inflicted great bodily injury and had personally used a knife (§Â§ 12022, subd. (b), 12022.7), and as to counts II, III and IV defendant had used a knife and had inflicted great bodily injury (§Â§ 12022.3, 12022.8). Defendant admitted a prior rape conviction for which he served a prison term.
